Description: PCGS authenticated and graded MS 64 RB. Stray 1 in Dentils. Frosty steel brown and light chocolate with a third of the obverse showing faded mint red while only 5% of the reverse retains mint color. The luster is a bit subdued by a thin layer of natural oxidation, especially on the reverse. The only notable mark is a spot of very fine carbon on the upper part of the D in UNITED. VLDS, die state b late, the latest example seen. The top of the stray 1 sticking up from the dentils under the right side of the 8 is faint, barely visible. The fields are flowlined and the line at the throat is gone. CC#8 overall but third finest of the late die state in the Grellman census. PCGS population 3, 3 finer in 65RB.
