Description: PCGS authenticated and graded MS 64 BN. Lustrous light steel brown with mint red still visible, mostly on the reverse. No spots or stains. The best identifying feature is a few weak dentils at star 1 and at the opposing dentils over the first T in STATES, a result of an incipient planchet clip, as struck. E-MDS, die state a late. The die line at the throat is dull but visible. The upper part of the stray 1 is clearly visible under the right side of the 8. An attractive example of this interesting die variety. Tied for CC#5 in the Grellman census. CAC certified. Ex; Alan Meghrig - Doug Bird and William C. Noyes 6/1994 - Wesley A.
