Description: This 1808/7 Capped Bust Half Dollar is the O-101 Variety for this date with the bold 8 over 7 Overdate... see the macro close-up I have provided. This coin grades Choice AU+, and is a gorgeous coin with simply awesome Eye Appeal. Light golden and rose tones show on the rims with light grey centers. Lots of luster remains in the lettering and stars and more protected areas. The surfaces are very nice with no problem marks or hits, just a couple tiny ticks. There is a slight little rim bump at 4-5:00 on the reverse rim, this is the only negative of any kind. This coin is well struck for the date. Simply an awesome coin. This is a date that is very tough to locate this nice and in this grade. Just a super desirable coin! This coin would make a welcome addition to a high grade set.
