Description: PCGS authenticated and graded XF 40. Attractive glossy chocolate brown and steel. There are a few contact marks, notably a scrape on the rim over the Y, a small nick on the neck, and a thin nick in the hair left of the forehead. LDS, Breen state VII, with extensive cracking and swelling on the reverse plus a fine radial crack between the E & R in AMERICA faintly to the wreath. A neat die state. The reverse die was a mess at this point. The details are strong and the overdate feature is obvious. Tied for CC#11 in the Noyes census, his photo #29983. Bland says tied for CC#8.
