Description: 1795 FLOWING HAIR $1 NGC FINE DETAILS "REV DAMAGE" FANTASTIC CHOICE FINE DOLLAR with some VERY well hidden marks below the eagle being the apparent offending "distraction". An old, short, blended, camouflaged and nearly invisible scrape flowing from the Eagle's posterior and another just in front of the (facing) left leg. These almost appear to me to be a crude "chopmark" of sorts, to verify the metal content. This is the slightly more "common" Three Leaves Variety. Of the original mintage of 160,296, PCGS estimates that perhaps 4,000 have survived to this day. This example is quite nice, with peripheral detail of a Very Fine coin, but a bit less definition at centers. A couple of minor digs, or perhaps planchet defects, are quite inconsequential. Beautiful coin.
