He was a son of President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, and a younger brother of former Ambassador to Japan Caroline Kennedy. His father was assassinated, just three days before his third birthday. John Jr. appeared as a three-year-old in one of the most famous film clips/photographs of the 1960s, (on his 3rd birthday), saluting his father's casket after the president was assassinated in 1963. As an adult Kennedy studied law and worked for a few years in the Manhattan District Attorney's office; later he founded the political magazine George. JFK Jr. was a famously eligible bachelor before finally marrying the former Carolyn Bessette in 1996. Kennedy, his wife, and her sister were all killed in 1999 when a private plane piloted by Kennedy crashed in the Atlantic Ocean near Martha's Vineyard. ~ THE DETAILS ~ This listing is for a matted and framed collage photograph of John JFK Kennedy Jr. and his autograph. The entire piece is 11 X 14. The photograph is 8 X 10. The photograph and autograph are matted. The mat is black with blue around each opening. I chose this particular mat because the blue would match the blue and other pops of color in the photograph. The 11 X 14 frame is gray and black, and that matches the mostly black and white photographs included with the collage photo. About the Autograph: The autographed is signed with a black ball point pen. It comes with a COA from Prestige. The autograph is from a form document that was signed by John JFK Kennedy Jr. ***************************************************************************** Photograph Information: 8 X 10 ~ High quality, printed on 100% acid free paper. The photo is mostly Black and White. It is a collage of different photographs of John through the years from birth until his tragic death. It has the iconic "Salute" photograph, the photo of him playing under his Dad's desk in the oval office, walking along the beach with his Mother, his delve into publishing with his magazine GEORGE, his marriage to Carolyn Bessette, and many more. The collage adds a pop of color in a few places, notably, what could be one of the last photos taken of him for an article about Mount Rushmore and climbing the area. That article was published in June of 1999. That photo takes up a really nice space on the collage with the U.S. Flag and Mount Rushmore behind him. I REALLY hate to part with it, but life sometimes takes on different priorities. An amazing collectible, or it would be a great gift. The photographs do not give this piece justice! I ship at least 3 times a week, and I will upload a tracking number after I have been to the Post Office to ship. I personally take to the Post Office instead of waiting for them to pick up items.
